Los Angeles, CA • June 2021
Student Athlete: Varsity Tennis Team Captain
GPA: 4.63

Experience

Boston Scientific – Senior Capstone Project Research Student
Needham, MA (Olin College of Engineering) • 09/04/2024 – 05/16/2025

  • Co-designed a patent-pending invention focused on enhancing device sustainability.
  • Public Project Description: The Single Use Biopsy Forceps are a medical device designed to collect tissue endoscopically for histologic examination. This project involves the development of processes and design changes which can enhance the sustainability of Boston Scientific Single Use Biopsy Forceps, assisting them in meeting their goal of being carbon neutral by 2050. This can be achieved by reducing the carbon dioxide emissions from the creation, use, and waste streams of their line of Biopsy Forceps products, while maintaining their performance and use.

ABL Space Systems – RS1 Vehicle Structures Mechanical Engineering Intern

El Segundo, CA • 04/15/2024 – 08/02/2024

  • Conducted FEA/CFD analysis (Ansys, FEMAP), CAD modeling (Siemens NX), aerothermal simulations, and hand calcs for various projects ranging from external LOx flow cover redesigns to weld strength coupon tests and buckling tests to determine interstitial buckling loads
  • Designed and executed over 40 pressure tests for radial and face seals in ambient and cryogenic conditions, analyzing variables such as gas type, seal temperature, tube out-of-roundness, and pressure threshold
  • Gained hands-on experience in hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing

SpaceX – Dragon Structures (TrunkShield) Mechanical Engineering Intern

Hawthorne, CA • 01/08/2024 – 03/29/2024

  • Led updates on margin, fracture, buckling, and bolted joint load calculations for Dragon Heatshield and Backshell components (Ansys, FEMAP)
  • Redesigned (Siemens NX) a Heatshield quick-disconnect (QD) passthrough by introducing new thermal gapfill materials, refining the injection process, and designing a custom injection tool, while redefining the NDE CT testing criteria
  • Developed and executed a comprehensive testing plan, including dynamics vibe testing and thermal qualification
  • Assisted in last minute critical mission readiness projects ranging from Ansys/FEMAP analysis of flight critical parts to vibe, shock, and functional explosive testing of NSD/NSIs to ensure Dragon mission readiness
  • Traveled to the Cape Canaveral, FL Space Force Station to assist in mission critical Dragon flight readiness

SpaceX – Starlink Gateway Reliability Mechanical Engineering Intern

Redmond, WA • 05/22/2023 - 08/16/2023

  • Designed (Siemens NX), prototyped, manufactured, and proof-tested a lifting tool for 300+ lb upper assembly installations/maintenance inside Starlink gateways
  • Conducted physical testing via rigged forklift load cell assemblies and Instron machines, iterating designs with 80/20 extrusion and custom machining/welding the final assembly (mill, lathe, bandsaws, grinders, laser engraver)
  • Traveled to Hawthorne, CA (SpaceX HQ) to deploy a new roof-top gateway site
  • Traveled to AL, WI, and TX (including SpaceX McGregor site) to use my tool to fix 7 broken gateways that would otherwise have been discarded

Olin Rocketry – Project Manager, Structures Lead & Senior Mentor

Needham, MA (Olin College of Engineering) • 09/20/2021 – 05/16/2025

  • Led the entirely student-led project team developing SRAD rocket components, including in-house solid fuel motors, avionics, modular payload systems, carbon fiber fairings, fins, and airbrakes
  • Taught students CAD (SolidWorks, Siemens NX), CFD (Ansys), and FEA (SolidWorks, Ansys) to design, analyze, and model flight components and trajectories
  • Oversaw manufacturing processes involving composites, CNC machining, waterjetting, milling, lathing, and laser cutting for high-performance rocketry applications
  • Intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Competition – Spaceport America (NM) June 2022 (10K COTS) – Phoenix IV dual-deployment rocket
