Carbon Fiber Bike Saddle

Skills: Composites

This personal project, completed during my first year at Olin College, combined my passion for road cycling with my interest in composites. As an avid cyclist, I set out to create my own carbon fiber saddle for daily riding and racing. It was my first experience working with carbon fiber, which taught me firsthand about the complexities and challenges of composite materials. I experimented with various molding techniques on my existing saddle to find the most precise method. This project ignited my enthusiasm for composites and inspired me to lead several composite-related projects within Olin Rocketry, where I was a Structures team member and later became Project Manager.
